Thursdays are great days for me. Back that up, each day can be a great day all its own, but Thursdays are especially nice. My daughter, Lucy, and I attend women's bible study at our church each Thursday morning. Not only is it a nice outing for us, it gives her time to play with the nursery workers and me time to learn and reconnect with other women while learning all about God's word. On our way to bible study this morning, we took along our dog, Del, so we could drop him off at the pet groomers. We were quite an excited bunch driving down the road.
After we dropped off Del, arrived at church and I dropped Lucy off at the nursery, I headed into class for an hour and a half teaching. We're studying 1 Corinthians 14. It's pretty cool learning all about Paul's teachings and outlining spiritual gifts and the proper time and use of them. I love the fact that i can spend time in God's word and be able to refresh myself to make me a better wife, mother, daughter, and friend. After spending time in the nursery, Lucy gets pretty wired, so she's more than ready to sack out for her afternoon nap. I just checked on her and she's happily sawing logs. My husband and I call her our little cherub when she sleeps. Ah, sleep...what a wonderful idea!

Inaugural Blog!
After reading many creative and unique blogs, I've decided to begin my own blogging journey. My sister-in-law started a blog in February after she and my brother moved from California to Iowa. Reading her posts have been a great way to read what's going on in their lives. And since it's National Blog Posting Month, I thought I'd give it a try and share with others what's going on in my life.
So, with that said, I must explain where I came up with the name for this blog. An un-scientific study was conducted years ago that discovered women say three times as many words as men per day. Well, duh! On average, according to this study, women say 20,000+ words compared to men saying around 7,000 each day.
I left the working world in December of 2006 when I went on maternity leave. I previously worked at a local radio station (more about that in future blogs) where I was an on-air radio personality. Basically, I got paid to talk and had countless opportunity throughout my work schedule to get out a good portion of my supposed 20,000 words. Once I left the station to become a stay-at-home mom, I began to worry about the amount of words I would have bottled up by the time my husband got home from work each night! After 11 months, I'm happy to say that yes, I am getting my words out each day. And now, I feel that this blogging may just help me shave a couple thousand off my daily output!
